What I have learned from MPU class so far
The first assignment that I was given is to discover my strengths as a Taylor's graduate. This is when I was exposed to what kind of skills Taylor's is trying to equip us with so that we are well cut out for the competitive industry and therefore achieve our life goals in the near future respectively.
After that, I was taught to set my life goal using the SMART acronym, which is a great technique as it assist me in differentiating between my desire and daydream, then to work my way through it step by step.
I have also done a few personality and career tests because they are part of the MPU assignment. I did not take that seriously at first as I was quite against that type of tests because in my opinion, how on earth can you find out who you are just by clicking a few buttons? It is a sheer waste of time to me. However, the test results gave me a brief guideline in my self discovery process and it isn't that useless after all.

After every MPU class I was asked to do a lot of thinking. Why am I learning that? What can I gain from that? What is their main purpose in asking us to do that? Now I always ask myself questions throughout my self exploration, such as finding my strengths and weakness. Personality Development has triggered me to brainstorm about the happenings around, to find out the reason behind, and to think about what I can do to obtain a different outcome. I am glad that I have attended MPU as I am practicing critical thinking in my life now. By having a sharp mind I have discovered my strengths and weaknesses successfully. In addiion MPU has taught me to accept my flaws. Nobody is perfect and all we have to do is just accept our weakness (as nobody is capable of doing everything) and, if possible, try to turn our weakness into strength.
There are a lot of ways to rectify my weaknesses. First I need to know what is my weakness, then find ways to overcome it and at last stick to the feasible plan. The steps are easy to follow, but the cornerstone of it is having the will to stay committed to that plan. Without a strong desire to get rid of my weakness, what we've discussed earlier are all vague and void. In order to rectify my weakness, I need to motivate myself to carry out the plan with great determination for my personal well being. Besides, family and friend also play a vital role in helping me to turn my weakness into strength. I will always get advice and improvisation ideas from my family members and also my friends as different people have different perspective in looking into a problem. Sometime we can come up with a superb idea which combine and compress the selling points or others into one.
